Emma and Evan had their daycare's Christmas program this last Saturday. Emma didn't sing a single word. In fact she had her thumb in her mouth for most of it. Though she was the only kid that gave a shout-out to her parents and that was better than any singing plus the audience got a good laugh too.
Evan recited a poem called "Presents" complete with all of the coordinated hand motions. Then Pre-K kids sang a couple classics, "Jingle Bells" and "We Wish You a Merry Christmas."
After the program the kids enjoyed some cookies and juice and a sneak peak at Santa. We didn't plan well and the line got pretty long while we were getting snacks so we opted to pass on visiting with Santa and hit up one of the mall Santas instead. The good news is that Emma didn't freak out at the sight of the big guy. In fact she was pretty interested in him so hopefully there won't be any tears when it comes to picture time this year.
Presents
See all the presents by the Christmas tree?
Some for you
And some for me
Long ones
Tall ones
Short ones, too.
And here is a round one
Wrapped in blue.
Isn't it fun to look and see
All of the presents by the Christmas tree?
